Note: A big thank you to the people of r/SouthAfrica and Crocworld, who helped Skop561 with finding a few of these locations.
Unlike most TV shows and films, Prehistoric Park's filming locations have remained largely unknown. However, with the efforts of Skop561, these locations are finally being brought to light. This page contains a list of all known filming locations used in the series, found and compiled by Skop561, and will act as a source for those interested in where the show was filmed and might like to visit the locations.

Updated map of the Crocworld locations. (Imagery from 2005.)
Scenes for the park were filmed almost entirely at Crocworld Conservation Centre in South Africa, with the exceptions being the main complex, holding pens/time portal, Deinosuchus Dip, Ornithomimus Pond, and Mammoth Mount. Other than that, you'll find nearly everything within or around this place. Bob's Workshop unfortunately no longer exists, now replaced by a small pig pen, only the back wall and the foundation seen to have survived. According to the latest satellite imagery on Google Earth, the area with the Titanosaur Treetops and Big Cat Climb appear to be covered with trees and no longer resemble how it was in the 2000s. The same appears to be true for the area for Triceratops Creek and T-Rex Hill. But this is likely because the area appears to have been unused by anyone since filming wrapped. The Bug House is actually the Resource Centre close to Nigel's Den. Behind the Scenes, the big dome is a matte painting and it's uncertain how much of the physical set remains. Photos of the real building taken by a local near Crocworld would help greatly. Despite what was previously thought. The Ornithomimus Pond was actually not filmed at Crocworld, but rather the T.C. Robertson Nature Reserve 3km south of Crocworld. This spot is the hardest to recognise today out of the park locations. The Mpambanyoni River has washed away much of the land surrounding the pond, and the foliage is totally different, Meaning spots like the Ornithomimus nest, the spot where Bob walks past a pair of Ornithomimus (Ep 3 at 1:30) and the place where Bob releases the Ornithomimus in episode 2 are long gone. It's possible the Terror Bird Paddock was not at Crocworld too because of the absence of a large sandy area like in the show. (This location will be clarified in due course.)
Mammoth Mount and a shot of the Elasmotherium from episode 2 were filmed at Natal Lion Park, which was the only location mentioned in the credits. Also, I (Skop561) was able to confirm it was here as the mountains in the background of the mammoth scenes match with what you'd see at Natal.

Likely location of Mammoth Mount at Natal Lion Park.

The Main Complex is actually the Didima Camp and Cathedral Peak Resort high up in the Drakensberg Mountains bordering the small nation, Lesotho. The final South African location is the Holding Pen/Time Portal, filmed at the Hluhluwe– iMfolozi Park about 250 km north of Crocworld Conservation Centre at -28.282762, 31.985781. The main set of pens used in the show is the large one of the north side with a large corridor and six pens off the sides. The final park location is at Fraser Island in Australia like the Episode 6 prehistory scenes in a large pond in Kingfisher Bay. It seems to include the path where the Deinosuchus lunges at Matilda and Nigel and resembles the pond seen when the Deinosuchus arrives at the park. However, the pond seems to have changed greatly over the years and doesn't look much like it did in the 2000s. The coordinates of the Deinosuchus Pond are -25.391818, 153.029540.
T-Rex Returns[]
The scene of Nigel looking up at the T. rex skeleton was filmed at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History. All Cretaceous Montana scenes were filmed at Conguillío National Park in Chile where episode VI of Walking with Dinosaurs was also filmed. The camp and the fight between the T. rex and Triceratops was filmed by a lake, which seems to be smaller now, at -38.698004, -71.622202. The second stampede with Ornithomimus is at -38.741181, -71.625848. Dead Trike Creek is by a waterfall at -38.775359, -71.632051. It's hard to find where the forest scenes, the T. rex nest and den locations are, as it's hard to tell with Google Earth. If a local could help out, it would be greatly appreciated.
A Mammoth Undertaking[]
Scenes set in Ice Age Siberia, 10,000 years ago, were filmed around Mount Martha Black in Yukon, Canada. The big frozen lake seen in the aerial shot at the start of Nigel's first excursion is Kathleen Lake, but the shots seem to be mirrored for some reason. The site of where Martha the Mammoth was found is located at a river at the coordinates 60.661239, -137.405099. The scenes set in Ice Age Siberia, 150,000 years ago, were filmed across the border in British Columbia alongside Haines Road, which borders Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park on the west side. The first panning shot where Nigel spots the mammoth herd is looking east at Kusawak Peak at the coordinates 59.69068, -136.58016. Later scenes where Nigel meets the Elasmotherium and bull mammoth were filmed 15 km north of Kusawak Peak. The scene where Nigel gathers plants for Martha, encounters the Elasmotherium, and is nearly killed by the male mammoth is on the west side of Haines Road at 59.82754, -136.64028. Afterwards, Nigel sits on a rock on a hill at about 59.85057, -136.64971. Nigel saves the Elasmotherium and leaves the Ice Age at about 59.86117, -136.69472.
Dinobirds[]
Scenes set in Cretaceous China were filmed in the area near Rotorua, New Zealand. The place where Nigel's expedition team first exits the time portal is likely a small location with hot springs, called Hell's Gate, at -38.059186, 176.359707. The lake where Nigel and his crew observes some pterosaurs fishing is Lake Rotokawau, located very close by. There is a small beach where the camp would have been, with the rock Nigel was standing on when watching the pterosaurs fish being next to it. Aerial shots at 05:40 are of Lake Rotomahana. Most of the forest scenes were probably shot in Whakarewarewa Forest Park while the scene of Nigel's first attempt at catching a Microraptor was probably shot somewhere near Hell's Gate.
Saving the Sabretooth[]
All Pleistocene South America scenes were filmed at Parque Nacional da Chapada dos Veadeiros in Brazil. The Smilodon hunting scene and the scene of Nigel's rescue of the terror bird is located at -14.102019, -47.662508. Other locations aren't found yet as of 19/04/2023 and will be added here when found. New find as of 4/10/2023, the scene of the Toxodon chasing Nigel is roughly at -14.134400, -47.718344 heading west from the mountains.
The Bug House[]
All Carboniferous Scotland scenes were filmed in Jonathan Dickinson State Park, located in Florida, USA, where scenes for the Carboniferous segment of Walking with Monsters' second episode were also filmed. It's practically impossible to find the exact locations where the scenes took place with Google Earth due to the dense foliage, and there are no unique landmarks that can be used to identify them as with other locations listed on this page. Some trees in the final edit of the show are also CGI, too, which doesn't help at all.
Supercroc[]
Scenes set in Cretaceous Texas were filmed on Fraser Island off the coast of Queensland, Australia. The scene where Nigel spots a Deinosuchus swimming up a creek is located at -25.383239, 153.033113, near Kingfisher Bay Resort, which is also where the filming location for Deinosuchus Dip is located. The same creek was also used for shots of Nigel paddling the boat up to the lake, which is called Lake Mckenzie, located a little further inland. The beach scenes were probably filmed at -25.197892, 153.011959, as it matches with the aerial shots of Nigel gliding over the beach during his search for Deinosuchus.
