Rating: 7/10 (Great -) When I watched Prehistoric Park for the first time, Dinobirds was undoubtedly the episode that impressed me the most. It was full of dramatic moments, and also portrays Nigel in tons of "hedache" scenarios. It has a plethora of dinosaurs that are not well known to the general public, which adds to this episode's value. What lets Dinobirds down a little is the fact that the target species, the Microraptor, never feels like its "on the brink of extinction." Nigel pointed out that the Microraptor will go extinct "soon," but he is obviously speaking from a geological perspective, since loads of them can be seen swooping around. In the episode's defense, given what we know about Microraptor, it would be hard to truly portray its extinction process, so they probably couldn't have done better. The most important thing was the fact that they showed this fascinating species to the public. But, with that in mind, it still isn't as impactful as T-Rex Returns or A Mammoth Undertaking. The episode does finish on a very high note with an epic volcano scene. Cougarcat (talk) 01:34, July 19, 2020 (UTC)
